I think Hypebeast follows us

It ain’t no secret that we pull some of our content from places like The Hue, Highsnobiety, or Hypebeast. But today, Sunday, October 2nd, Paladin Brand aggregated some news that 2dopeboyz had put out regarding Drake’s new music video for “Headlines” at precisely 3:32 p.m. The content had just dropped, and so we went into the music video ourselves in order to pull a screen capture to use as our featured image.

Having arrived from work this evening at 10:35 p.m., I decided to check my blog feeds, and to my surprise saw that Hypebeast posted at 9:06 p.m. about Drake’s music video, using a pretty similar screen capture as their featured photo. Everyone else that’s posted have just allowed the video to act as the preview for their content.

While aggregation of content is common among the blogging world, I was just surprised that Hypebeast used us as a resource for once (or at least I’m assuming)! We’re brand spanking new and we’ve found fresh content from them ourselves, but it makes us feel good inside thinking that we’re earning some kind of recognition out there.
